FORMATION
The Diocese of El Paso’s Diocesan Liturgical Commission and Office of Religious Formation present Christian Initiation Basics, a new RCIA/OCIA formation series for clergy, PCLs, and catechists. Our first session is “Part 1: Overview & the Pre-Catechumenate,” when we will cover:
- The new OCIA ritual book: what’s new and what’s not
- The different paths for people in different situations: the unbaptized, the already baptized, adults, and children
- National and diocesan directives and best practices
- An in-depth look at the first period: the Precatechumenate
The sessions are free, and the first will be held

La Comisión Litúrgica Diocesana y la Oficina de Formación Religiosa de la Diócesis de El Paso presentan Básicos de la Iniciación Cristiana, una nueva serie de formación de RICA para el clero, PCLs y catequistas. Nuestra primera sesión es "Parte 1: Visión general y el precatecumenado", en la que cubriremos:
- El nuevo libro de rituales: qué hay de nuevo y qué no
- Los diferentes caminos para personas en diferentes situaciones: los no bautizados, los ya bautizados, los adultos y los niños.
- Directivas nacionales y diocesanas y buenas prácticas
- Una mirada al primer periodo: el precatecumenado

RETREATS
Confirmation RetreatSThe retreat teams program develops retreat teams made of young adults who develop and facilitate Confirmation retreats. The young adults offer theme based retreats that speak to the confirmandi and help them to see the role of faith in life. The dynamics, music, skits, and small group discussion connects with young people effectively.
During 2023-24 The retreat teams groups offered 7 retreats to Confirmation youth at different parishes throughput the diocese. It is our goal to grow the retreat teams and the number of Confirmation youth served. |

The Office of Religious Formation offers Catechist's Retreat as an opportunity for those of us in the catechetical ministry to be renewed in spirit and to deepen our bonds with the Lord and with one another.

Ministry Youth Band
Our youth band has worked hard to prepare for retreats and events in the Diocese of El Paso TX. The youth band members diligently practices and prepares for their “gigs” They are learning so much and growing as musicians as they serve in their music ministry. They have teamed up with the retreat team and support the praise and worship side of these retreats.
